The February heatset explosion recorded high temperatures in Southern California on Thursday, marking cool conditions and chances of light rain this weekend.
This week’s normal temperatures included the next record high on Thursday.
It breaks the old record of 88 degrees in downtown LA, 86 degrees 86 degrees in 2020, 86 degrees 86 degrees in LAX, 86 degrees 86 degrees in 2020, 85 degrees in Long Beach Airport in 2020, 93 degrees in Santa Ana, 93 degrees in Santa Ana, tying the 19322 record.
The weather changes begin on Friday as low-pressure areas move into the area. Temperatures in most parts of the region fell from the mid-’70s to mid-’60s.
“It’s bringing dramatically cooler temperatures,” said NBC4 meteorologist David Bigger. “We’re talking about 10-20 degrees of cooling.”
Cloud cover will increase early on Saturday, allowing drizzle in some areas. Sunshine breaks through in some parts of Southern California in the afternoon, but other areas, such as the San Gabriel Valley, part of the Inland Empire and the LA Basin, remain under the clouds.
Another system spreads across the region on Sunday, with clouds increasing in forecasts. Light scattered showers are available during the afternoon.
“There are no signs of heavy rain,” Biggar said, but added that it would be about a per-half of rain.
The light rain system will arrive by mid-week.
