Exclusive: The Senate Republican Campaign Committee is asking GOP Senators to show off President Donald Trump and his billionaire ally Elon Musk that “eliminate wasteful spending” by the federal government.
In a memo first shared with Fox News on Monday, the National Republican Senators Committee (NRSC) urges the spotlight on government efficiency, better known by Doge, which recently created Trump’s recent creation of government efficiency, aims to “rationalize federal operations, eliminate wasteful spending, and reduce the size of ferocious federal agencies.”
The memo points to a recent national survey, including the latest Fox News poll showing the support of the majority by Americans to tackle federal waste, tackle government fraud, and reduce it.
What Americans Say About Doge in the Latest Fox News Poll

However, these same investigations also show public dissatisfaction with how Doge is carrying out its mission, including a massive reduction in the federal workforce. And polls show that Americans are the richest people in the world and are at a disadvantage with Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, whom Trump chose to pilot the crew.
What is Trump working on his second mission tour at the White House two months later?
Doge swept federal agencies in the first two months of the Trump administration, eradicating what the White House claims to be billions of useless federal spending. Furthermore, it has had meat rifts for federal workers, resulting in massive miniaturization of employees. The Doge move attracted public attention and caused many lawsuits accordingly.
The Democratic National Committee and Congressional Democrats have repeatedly targeted both Doji and Musk.

“Trump’s shooting destroys veterans, disabled children, and his own supporters,” the subject of a recent DNC email to supporters alleged.
But the NRSC, which points to the popular polls of the Doge mission, is asking GOP Senators to “drive a message that President Trump and Senate Republicans are reinstating Biden Harris spending that has encouraged inflation and cost of living.”

The NRSC also highlights the need for senators and their communications staff to “the overall popularity of reducing waste spending,” and the need to provide “many examples of terrible waste, fraud and abuse across the federal government.”
The NRSC also calls the senators and their staff “working with Musk, the Doge team and Cabinet Secretaries to identify mistakes, demand prompt action, and communicate as a single team.”

And Senate Republican communications staff will be asked to “propose publicly and personally suggestions on potential cuts. Become a leader in cuts where the senator has passion through the community and new media.”

We look forward to next year’s midterm elections, where GOP aims to expand its majority of 53-47 in the chamber. The NRSC emphasizes that “Senate Republicans have one job: locking up their arms with the White House, amplifying this fight and riding this wave in 2026.”
And the NRSC warns, “Alternatives, fractures, waffles, silence – a story to trust, voters, and Democrats.”
