On Wednesday, the Senate voted to advance Vought’s nomination to a final vote on the floor, prompting a 30-hour, overnight debate period where Democrats vowed to use it entirely in protest.
Democrats had planned to ensure speakers would hold the floor all night to delay Vought’s confirmation.
