R-La. Senator Bill Cassidy has condemned the Department of Health and Human Services’ move to move funds from mRNA vaccine development, claiming President Donald Trump’s agenda will be healthy again.

Cassidy registered his objection to the move.
“Unfortunately, it’s a shame that the secretary cancelled five billion jobs and wasted money that was already invested. He also acknowledged China the key technologies needed to combat cancer and infectious diseases. President Trump wants to make America healthy again and again make America great.
HHS states, “Some final stage contracts (such as Arcturus and amplitude) will be allowed to run courses to maintain previous taxpayer investments, but new mRNA-based projects will not be launched. HHS also directs Global Health Investment Corporation (GHIC), a partner that manages Barda ventures, which manages Barda Ventures, which manages Barda Ventures, which manages Barda ventures. The department is not affected by this announcement.”
