After President Donald Trump joked about being Pope, Sen. Lindsey Graham called on Pope Conclave and Catholics to maintain a “open mind” about the idea of the apparent joke.
“I was excited to hear that President Trump is open to the idea that he is the next Pope. This will make him a truly dark horse candidate, but Pope Conclave and Catholics ask him to keep his heart open about this possibility!” the senator wrote to X, sharing a video of Trump’s comments.
“The first Pope and President combination has many advantages. Seeing the white smoke… Trump mmxxviii!” Graham added.
