An illegal foreigner in Senegal has been charged with assaulting US Immigration and Customs Enforcement Officers (ICE) officers and other detainees with fatal or dangerous weapons.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced the charges against Bass Ndiaye in a statement released Thursday.
Ndiaye was arrested on July 17th and taken to a federal immigrants building in New York City for disposal, according to the statement.
While waiting for the treatment, Ndiaye was reportedly attempting to grab a pair of scissors and stab the ice officer and about 12 other detainees. He was soon disarmed and restrained by ice officials.

The statement said Ndiaye is domestically as a result of the Biden administration’s catch-and-release policy. He was arrested by federal authorities at the southern border in October 2023, but was released inside.
He is currently facing one count of assaulting US officers using deadly or dangerous weapons. The charges were announced by US lawyers for Jay Clayton, Southern District of New York.
This is because ice executives face an increase in attacks of more than 800% compared to the previous year, according to DHS.
