A wrong-way driver was killed in a brutal crash on Highway 210 in Monrovia early Sunday morning, police said.
Law enforcement officials received multiple calls around 3:30 a.m. about a driver traveling east in the westbound lanes of Highway 210.
CHP officers spotted the vehicle, a white sedan, driving the wrong way on Rosemead Boulevard, and the sedan eventually crashed into a pickup truck near the Huntington Drive exit, about three miles from where it was first spotted. I observed a head-on collision.

Officers immediately called the Arcadia Fire Department, which responded and pronounced the male driver of the sedan dead at the scene.

The two occupants of the Ford pickup truck that was struck were transported by firefighters with unknown injuries, according to the CHP.
A SigAlert has been issued for westbound 210, just east of Huntington Drive. According to CHP updates, the entire highway was initially closed due to the collision, but as of 6:15 a.m., only the HOV and #1 lanes remained closed.
