First on FOX: The new House GOP bill blocks federal funds for hospitals that perform gender reassignment surgery on minors.
The law led by R-Texas Rep. Dan Crenshaw and supported by interest groups has no harm or generational support. In particular, it targets the funds received by medical centers through programs aimed at developing new children’s doctors.
“We advocate for basic medical ethics and recognize those who have been silenced and betrayed by a system that places ideology ahead of authentic care,” Crenshaw told Fox News Digital. “Drugs should be based on truth and healing, not in false promises that cause lasting harm.”

The bill requires reapproval of the Children’s Hospital’s Medical Education Payment Program by fiscal year (FY) 2030.
The Act includes the provisions that “at any time in the previous year, such hospitals submit certain procedures and provide drugs to individuals under the age of 18 may not be paid to children’s hospitals for the fiscal year (starting in fiscal year 2026)”.
These details are defined as “with the purpose of changing the body of such individuals and not cope with the individual’s gender.”

“U.S. taxpayers should not fund hospitals that implement unscientific sex change procedures for minors. Representative Crenshaw’s bill is important to protect children by ensuring that federally funded graduate medical education programs do not engage in these harmful practices,” he said.
The bill is introduced for what conservatives call “Detrans Awareness Day.”
Transgender medical or minor procedures permission was a light stick in the ongoing culture war between the right and left.

The issue of trans minors taking part in school sports has also been seen in heated debate, with some Democrats even opposing the party to challenge the topic.
In particular, California Gov. Gavin Newsom recently stated in his new podcast that it is “deeply unfair” to allow trans men to play in women’s sports.
“I think it’s a matter of fairness. I totally agree with you. It’s a matter of fairness,” he told conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
