The fire that swallowed a hut in Victorville led the first responders on Tuesday evening to what is believed to be at least one archaeological site.
The lawmaker was sent to the Cheer Courthouse home around 5:22pm, where a backyard, completely engulfed in flames, found the shed.
Firefighters inhaled the flames and found two suspicious human jawbones during subsequent investigations, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release issued Thursday.
“While being on the scene, the detectives found more suspected human bones,” authorities said.

The body will be handed over to the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office to determine which bones are human and “try to identify the deceased,” the Sheriff’s Office said.
