A short police pursuit ended in a crash crash, causing six people to be injured and two people were taken into custody in Inglewood on Tuesday morning.
According to the Culver City Police Department, officers were trying to detain a suspected carjack armed with Inglewood when he escaped, but it was not reckless or fast.
“But it appears he’s been running a red light and collided with another vehicle,” Culver City police said, adding that in addition to the suspect, the car had a woman and two children. “The pursuit lasted only a few minutes.”
Authorities say injuries sustained in the crash crash were not considered life-threatening.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department told KTLA that the firefighters arrived at the scene within four minutes of the crash.
The Civic App video shows debris scattered around the intersection in the aftermath of the crash.
One of the cars involved, the white BMW sedan, damaged the front end. According to footage from the Civic App, another vehicle involved, Silver Acura SUV, appeared to have reached the sidewalk as a result of the collision.
The user filmed footage of the two people being detained at gunpoint by police. Video from the same user showed the first responder taking two injured children out of the vehicle and assessing the injury.
