A small plane crashed near Fullerton Municipal Airport Thursday afternoon.
Police said the plane crashed in the 2300 block of West Ramer Avenue, just east of the airport, around 2 p.m. Black smoke was seen near the crash site.
Details of the injured were not immediately available.
Police say the area is being evacuated.
NBCLA is in contact with the FAA to try to gather further information regarding the crash.
In November, a small plane crashed into a tree on Gilbert Street near Artesia Avenue, adjacent to the Fullerton Municipal Airport. Two people suffered minor injuries in the collision.
Fullerton Municipal Airport, Orange County’s only general aviation airport, is located near Highways 5 and 91 and approximately 9 miles from Disneyland in Anaheim.
