Store surveillance cameras filmed a trio of hooded robbers who were robbing pizza shops and pharmacies in Los Angeles’ Pico Robertson area early Tuesday morning.
The break-in unfolded at a nearby pharmacy in the 1700 block of Pizza Mark and South Robertson Boulevard, around 4:30 a.m.
Security footage from the pizza shop shows a masked burglar smashing the restaurant’s main entrance and heading straight to the register. Rather than simply turning the key that was hanging from the lock on the cash drawer, one of the con artists repeatedly smashed the registers on the ground.
Unhappy with the register, the robber crew can be seen coming and going to the store several times, but stole the pizza shop’s safety and moved to the next pharmacy, causing more mayhem and damage.

Both store owners are out in thousands of dollars of cash and damages.
Mark Duek, who opened a pizza shop six years ago and served kosher food to mostly Jewish neighborhoods, said he had never had this problem before.
“They bump into the pharmacy every six months and are looking for such medicines and stuff like that,” he explained. “Bob from the pharmacy, he called me at 7am and warned me about this break-in. It’s sad that they have nothing to do.
Douek added that he is grateful that the innocent person has not been injured during the ordeal.
“It’s a financial loss for me, but as long as no one gets hurt, I can live with it,” he said. “I hope they get caught so they can learn the lesson.”
The LA Police Department said it is investigating the robbery, but Douek said it is working with the insurance company to see what coverage it is covering to repair damage caused by the fraudster.
Anyone who can recognize the three suspects on surveillance video will be urged to contact LAPD.
