As part of the region’s entire tradition, over 30 museums will offer free admission on Sundays to enjoy art, culture, cinema and natural history.
Officially known as the free general admission day, residents do not apply to special ticket exhibitions, but can enter several museums without charge. Normal parking fees apply at each museum.
Additionally, many organizations are offering special discounts on tap cards to Metroriders this year. Residents should also note that some participating museums will be admitted free on Saturdays.
Alexa Nishimoto, president and marketing associate at Socal Museums, said he hopes to provide residents with a comfortable and connected space following the wildfires in January.
“It is an honor for us to open a collective door, welcome visitors and experience the wide range of cultural experiences available in the region,” Nishimoto added.
These two museums were free to enter on Saturdays. California Botanical Gardens and International Printing Museum (advance reservations are required).
