Tiktok often popularizes the songs of music’s biggest and most talked about artists.
However, one of the most viral songs today was recorded in 1961.
More than 60 years ago, singer Connie Francis recorded enough music to fill three albums. Buried behind one of those records was a song called “Pretty Little Baby.”
It wasn’t as popular as other hits, such as “Silly Cupid” and “Who’s Now?”
However, over the past few weeks, forgotten songs have found a new life in Tiktok. Millions of videos have been created with songs from the Audio Forward app. It is featured in videos from everyday users to popular influencers and celebrities. Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner are featured in videos set on songs from the 60s.
The song stream is growing. It is currently in some of the popular viral songs Spotify playlists.
She wrote that she was “obviously not in contact.” Because when she learned that the song was popular in Tiktok, her first response was to ask, “What is that?”
But she’s not in contact anymore.
Francis is currently in Tiktok. Although she hasn’t posted to popular platforms yet, her page has album artwork for the songs.
