A former priest was sentenced to one year in prison and 10 years on sex offender registration after pleading no contest to possession of child pornography.
Rodolfo Martinez Guevara, 39, pleaded guilty in October to felony child sexual abuse and several special charges, the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office said in a news release.

Martinez-Guevara was sentenced to 365 days in jail, two years formal probation, and 10 years on sex offender registration, plus a two-year suspended sentence for violating probation.

He will be sentenced in the Los Angeles County case next month.
