Early spring was a mixed bag for the weather in Southern California so far. That will not change in the next few days.
Many of the counties in Ventura, Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino and Riverside were woken up to cloudy skies and even a bit of rain on Sunday.
The rain will be clear by noon on Sunday, but clouds will remain and rainy weather could return in small quantities overnight, according to forecasters.

According to the National Weather Service, the darkness of spring is due to low-pressure systems hanging in the area. As read by Sunday morning bulletins, the prolonged clouds bring about intense rainfall, so the rest of the showers either last long or don’t pack much punch.
According to the NWS, rain could be seen throughout the Southern California region late Sunday and early Monday, as follows:

According to the NWS, the total rainfall in the aforementioned areas is likely to stay less than half from Sunday to Monday to March.
