“Dear neighbour, why not consider removing your Tesla vehicle? At this point, the message you were sending was “I’m a Nazi too,” a handwritten note placed inside the mailboxes of Tesla owners and Venice residents.
Other Tesla owners on Glyndon Avenue, Venice, where Abby Berman lives and received the letter, received a similar message.
The letter, written by someone identified solely as Rebecca, came in an envelope with a fake return address.
By chance, Berman told KTLA’s Rachel Menithov that she was not an Elon Musk fan and bought a Tesla in 2019, but while it was rewarding, she simply dumped the car completely and couldn’t afford to get a new different car.
“I’m not an Elon fan. I’m not a Trump fan,” Berman explained. “I’m tired of the state of the world and I’ll keep me up at night what’s going on, but there’s a better way to do it than sending a very offensive letter. Come and talk to me and find another way to deal with it.”

These upset and somewhat ominous letters coincide with the protests against Elon Musk, his involvement in the Trump administration, and the government’s efficiency or doge to drive widespread reductions to agencies and programs.

The protesters staged outside Tesla, one of his most visible companies.
Just today in Culver City, activists were holding demonstrations outside Tesla dealers, urging people to boycott electric car companies’ products, but at least one activist who spoke to KTLA said he had not tolerated threatening tactics or threats against Tesla owners.
“I don’t think we should be ashamed of Tesla owners. Most of them who own Teslas purchased them before Doge was present. It’s a very personal choice. If they want to remove the car, it’s up to them,” protester Phil Grosserman said. “What we really need to do is to speak up for what Elon is doing in Washington, and I think the best way to do that is in front of his business. The only way to get to him is through his pocketbook.”
KTLA has reached out to Tesla to respond to anonymous letter senders, growing frustration with the company’s founder and CEO, awaiting a response.
