San Bernardino County deputies arrested a convicted felon after an “aggressive traffic stop” led to the discovery of a firearm and a search warrant at his home yielded two stolen vehicles. .
According to a news release from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, just before 11:45 p.m. on Nov. 25, a deputy encountered Carlos during a preliminary vehicle search near Mount Vernon Avenue and Barton Road in Grand Terrace.・I came into contact with a man named Torres.
The deputy conducted a record search on Mr. Torres, which determined he was on post-release community supervision and a convicted felon.
“During the search, Torres was found in possession of an unloaded firearm with no serial number,” SBSD said.
Authorities are investigating a fatal early morning shooting near railroad tracks in Los Angeles County.
He was arrested on charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm, being a felon in possession of ammunition and being a felon in possession of a loaded firearm.
Two days later, detectives and agents assigned to the Multi-Enforcement Team executed a search warrant at Torres’ San Bernardino residence, which resulted in the discovery of two stolen vehicles.
Torres, 31, was later charged with possession of a stolen vehicle.
