Monrovia homeowners Ricardo Martinez and Brian Gordon said they’ve seen bears launch pool floats before, but they’ve never seen them use the device successfully. – Until June 27th.
“It was scorching hot (that day), so I don’t blame the poor bear for going into the pool,” Gordon said. “It was hot!”

A Utah couple who accidentally sent their pet cat to an Amazon facility in Riverside thanked an employee for helping them find it.
Matt and Carrie Stevens Clark were returning a pair of shoes to Amazon when their cat, Galina, was secretly cozying up in the box and the shoes were shipped by mistake.
“We had no idea, so Matt took her to baggage claim without even knowing our cat was inside,” Carrie said.
Then the couple received a shocking phone call confirming their cat was in Southern California, about 650 miles away.

Furlan Lee was relaxing in her backyard, monitoring her two small dogs, when a coyote suddenly snatched her 10-year-old dachshund, Nina. Home surveillance footage showed the frightening encounter as the dog’s owner frantically screamed and chased the coyote with the dog in its mouth.
“She was a heavy dachshund, so when he jumped over the wall, her leg was dangling, so I jumped over the wall and grabbed her leg out of his mouth,” she said. Said.
Nina’s plump physique helped save her own life as the coyote was unable to carry her to Furlan Lee’s backyard.

A Fish and Wildlife Service biologist was brought in to review the footage to prove that it was not actually a bear that damaged the three cars seen in the video.
