Low pressure systems will bring rain and seasonal cold to most of Southern California, with higher elevation communities likely to see snow.
Storms are estimated to drop everywhere from 10 to 0.5 inches of rain, the National Weather Service predicts.
“The rain begins brightly on Saturday mornings and showers in the afternoon,” the NWS said. “Heavy showers and thunderstorms can produce shorter, heavy downpours, small hail, gusts of wind and lightning.”
The snow will be as low as 4,000 feet, officials said. He said communities between 4,000 and 5,000 feet to 3-6 inches are forecasted at 2-4 inches above 5,000 feet.

The foaming was accompanied by gusts of winds that could peak at 45 mph, and a winter weather advisory was issued to the Ventura Koriyama community, which continues until 7pm on Saturday.
Regional highs usually fall below 10-25 degrees on Saturday, weather officials said.
By Sunday, the system will move out of the region and expect dry weather until next week.
“There is a warming trend from Sunday to Tuesday, with highs likely to be slightly above normal levels on Tuesday,” the NWS said in its 6am regional forecast discussion on Saturday. “We are expected to have cooling on Wednesday, and there will be slight changes at the end of the week.”
