You read it correctly.
The startup recently announced the launch of the world’s first live sperm race. You can see the first edition here in Los Angeles.
The startup is known simply as a sperm race, according to a trade by commercial real estate media outlets – recently raised $1 million to support efforts to take part in the world’s first sperm race. The four men behind the idea are Eric Zhu (Tall Ventures, Aviat), Nicksmall (the youngest sold out founder of cryptocurrency), Shane Fan (Waterfall Market) and Garrett Niconiconko (Mrbeast team).
The Sperm Racing website’s “manifesto” cites a global decline in male fertility as a catalyst for this idea.
“Men’s fertility is declining, like many,” says the “manifesto.” “It’s going quietly, steadily, and no one really talks about it.”

Therefore, to raise awareness of the surprising trends, the founders are turning health into sports.
“If you can train for sports, if you can [by spending] Time to complete your form and push your body to its limits, why can’t you even train your health? “The website continues.
Now you may wonder how exactly the sperm lace works. Well, the founder laid out it:
First, a microscopic racecourse is constructed for two sperm samples to compete. The course mimics the reproductive system and includes chemical signals, fluid dynamics, and synchronous initiation.
All the movements that sperm makes are tracked and live streamed on a high-resolution camera. There are stats, leaderboards, and yes, instant replays too.
The race itself is exactly the same as the others. It is the first sperm to surpass the victory at the finish line.

“We’re turning it into a sight,” Sperm Race said. “Think about commentary on each play with press conferences, weigh-in, and live streaming races.”
“And of course, bets,” the website added.
That’s right. The founder of Sperm Racing creates a market where fans can choose their favorite competitors and bet on the winner.
“Imagine supporting your icon with the strangest and most entertaining event you’ve ever seen, whether it’s an athlete or a celebrity,” the website reads.

All jokes aside, the initiative isn’t just about racing sperm, but the founders point out that the idea is “jovial.”
“It’s about turning health into competition,” the website says. “It’s about people actually talking about, tracking, and creating something that they want to improve on men’s fertility.”
“We want to incorporate topics that no one wants to touch and make them interesting and measurable. It’s oddly changing this paradigm,” he continued. “Health is race and everyone deserves a shot at the starting line.”
The world’s first sperm race will be held at Hollywood Palladium on April 25th at USC with the UCLA-style battle.
Tickets will be on sale at noon Monday.
