“If these municipalities don’t support the law, I expect there will be consequences and I will support them,” Topper said.

In California, where several major municipalities have enacted sanctuary policies, Democrat government Gavin Newsom did not immediately respond to an investigation into Bondy’s order.
However, Newsom met with Trump on Wednesday and told CNN he was confident that the two political enemies have a “strong partnership that moves forward.”
“It’s not a specific commitment, it’s a broad stroke,” Newsom said.
As for Golden State Republicans, their state senators said Bondi’s order should not shock the sanctuary city there.
San Diego Sen. Brian W. Jones told Fox News Digital “We have officially been notified of the local jurisdiction that enforces illegal sanctuary policies.”
“Law enforcement needs to prioritize public safety, not caves, for extreme soft crime policies that put our communities at risk.”
Jones also announced that he would submit laws within weeks to “overhaul” California’s sanctuary state policies.
Jones’ bill would force law enforcement to work with ICE for violent criminal and illegal immigrants, he said.
Chicago could also be the focus of Bondi’s orders. Democratic government JB Pretzker – likely to be full of hope for the president in 2028 – declined to respond to a request for comment.

Illinois minority leader Tony McCombi and R-Jo Daviess weren’t able to reach them anytime soon.
However, in another statement Thursday, Pretzker responded to a lawsuit filed by Bondi’s office in connection with uncooperative land with Lincoln’s ice.
