The Los Angeles Coroner’s Office said Thursday that the man accused of supplying material to a Palm Springs fertility clinic bomber died of suicide.
Daniel Park, 32, was found to not respond while obtaining federal custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday. The circumstances of his death were not immediately clear.
The coroner’s office said the park had suffered from blunt instrument trauma.
Park was in LA detention facility since June 13 after being charged with providing explosive material to Guyed Ward Bartos, who drove a bomb-containing car to an American reproductive center in Palm Springs on May 17.
The Park, originally from Kent, Washington, was arrested in Poland, where he traveled after the bombing and was then sent to the United States, federal prosecutors said.
The Federal Prisons Bureau said on Wednesday that Park was declared dead after being taken to a local hospital, despite life-saving measures.
Both Park and Burtos shared the views of “anti-Natalists” and “dead” extremists, according to the US Attorney General’s Office for the Central District of California.
