According to the event organizers, the dogs featuring dogs featuring dogs that feature home-needed dogs will be held on Sunday, July 27th from 11am to 2pm.
Title “Brunch and Pups” the event is hosted by Borders-free dogs, a Los Angeles-based non-profit dog rescue organization. The group will act as a foster parent-based rescue, pulling small breed dogs from local shelters and partnering with international rescues to help dogs in need. Since its establishment, dogs without borders have placed over 8,000 dogs and say they have continued to rely on donations, foster parents and volunteers.
“This event is about giving these amazing dogs a second chance at their loving home,” said Chloe Lawrence, CEO of Dogs Without Borders. “Each hiring makes a huge difference in reducing shelter overcrowding and spreading joy to families!”

Ozzy is a brave puppy rescued from euthanasia with old leg damage that requires amputation. Now a happy, three-legged dog, Ozzy gets along well with people and other dogs. He is once expected to become a big dog with a fully grown and playful, loving personality.

Shrinksy
A mix of terriers with a calm and loving attitude, Schnowsie is home-trained, intelligent and extremely sensitive to training. He’s doing well with both people and dogs, enjoying a mix of playtime, training and nap. He is said to be a dream companion with an adaptive nature.

Dreams are low-maintenance dogs that get along well with children and other dogs. She is trained in the toilet, knows how to sit and can be left alone if necessary. Similarly, when content relaxes at home or walks around the neighborhood, dreams are considered balanced and appropriate for most families.

Sweet and lively Gidget is known for her adorable oink while she sleeps affectionately to everyone she meets. She needs continuous leash training, but Gidget is a crate, toilet trained and enjoys leash off freesh play. Her playful, protective personality makes her a dedicated and entertaining companion.

A kind and loving Frenchman, Petunia is loving and enjoys a peaceful walk and a cozy nap. She works on basic obedience and potty training. The slight deviation of the spine and hip joints requires an adopter to manage long-term physical needs. She does her best with her older children.

Tuxedo is a black and white chihuahua mix that weighs about 12 pounds. He is loving, playful and curious, but at first he is shy to strangers. Tuxedos love dogs, but prefer to be an alpha. He is trained at home, learns basic commands and improves with the use of ropes. He thrives in human relationships and hates being kicked out.

Rusty is the largest of his trash and is known for his goofy and loving nature. He is mellow, food motivated, rubs his belly. Rusty was abandoned in the shelter along with her littermates and is now gaining strength and growing steadily. He is expected to be medium sized when fully grown, and is said to be carefree and trainable.

Tommy is a young puppy with a gentle temperament and a passion for learning. He has made good progress in potty training and sleeps all night. It’s playful, but especially along with his brother Travis – Tommy is calm, well-shared, and easily bonds with people. He is well balanced and is considered suitable for many types of homes.

Travis is energetic, playful and loving. Like his brother Tommy, he is rescued without a mother and thrives in foster care. He loves to wrestling, fetch and hug. Although initially shy, he has deep bonds with people and learns quickly, including potty training and sharing toys.

A six-month-old puppy with a sweet and strange nature, Jelly Bean enjoys hugging and has a lot of energy. She is still working on her leash, submission and toilet skills, but is fully vaccinated, castrated and microchipped. She continues her training and is ready to go home to give her lots of love.
Organizers should note that the list of dogs attending may change depending on the status of the adoption. Those interested in adoption should have a completed adoption application and a video tour of the home to qualify for in-person interviews.
Kim Weinstein, the organization’s foster parent coordinator, said the event was intended to connect people and pets in a fun and relaxed environment. “We are very excited to celebrate these amazing puppies and bring the community together with Marina Del Rey to help them find their perfect match,” she said.
Dogs without borders warn that adoptions are very competitive in Southern California, with placement decisions being made with the best interests of the dog in mind. Response times to applications or emails may take up to 4 business days due to current demand.
The Marina Del Rai Branch Event offers a relaxed waterfront environment for meeting adoptable dogs while enjoying a meal outdoors.
