Authorities announced the arrest of three suspects in connection with multiple thefts and assaults on police officers in Orange County.
According to a Fountain Valley Police Department social media post, officers responded to a call of “suspicious activity involving a gray BMW SUV” Friday night near Talbert Avenue and Bay Street.

When police spotted the SUV, it fled, beginning a pursuit by the California Highway Patrol that ended in Gardena, more than 40 miles from where it was first discovered.
“Three of the four suspects who fled on foot after the vehicle became disabled have been captured,” Fountain Valley Police said in a statement. A fourth suspect remained at large as of Saturday morning.

“Multiple thefts have been linked to the suspect, including incidents involving assaults on police officers in Fountain Valley, Garden Grove and Irvine,” police said. “This incident led to multiple felony arrests.”
None of the three people arrested have been named, and the identity of the fourth suspect has not been released.
