Three robbery suspects are in custody following a series of violent and confrontational attacks in the Woodland Hills neighborhood, Los Angeles police said Tuesday.
Detectives identified 28-year-old Chazon Brown of Los Angeles, 32-year-old Isaiah Moore of Fresno, and 19-year-old Nazel Warren of Los Angeles as perpetrators of a series of crimes known as “drive-off” robberies.
Police said the suspects routinely followed the victim in a black BMW sedan.
Two of the suspects were allegedly involved in a robbery that occurred on Sept. 19 in the 23000 block of Mulholland Drive in Woodland Hills. Police said the attackers forced the victim to remove her jewelry, then punched her and pinned her to the ground.
A similar crime occurred last Wednesday in the 21000 block of Ventura Boulevard, when two passengers in a black car got out with handguns, stripped the victim of her jewelry and fled the scene.
Police issued search and arrest warrants for Brown and Moore on Thursday and recovered evidence, including two semi-automatic handguns. Warren was later arrested in Long Beach, but was released on Tuesday after posting bail.
Bail for each suspect is $1 million. Police said Warren was wearing a GPS ankle monitor when he was arrested in two unrelated incidents in July and August. He also posted bail for these arrests.
“Based on the evidence collected in this case, investigators believe these three individuals are prolific robbery suspects who have also been involved in numerous other robberies,” the Los Angeles Police Department said in a news release. mentioned in. “Investigators believe there are many other victims who have not yet been identified.”
