The man inside is in custody after entering downtown Los Angeles, which ended in a dangerous highway across a Southern California highway.
Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department had cancelled their involvement after chasing the driver in the Long Beach area around 5:30pm, but it is unclear when or where the pursuit began.
So far, KTLA has not been able to confirm whether this is the same suspect.

When CHP picked up the chase from the helicopter, the suspect was seen traveling northbound 110 highway, driving on the shoulders of the road in moderate to heavy traffic, weaving in and out of other drivers.

The suspect was seen leaving the highway on the surface streets of downtown Los Angeles, blowing a stoplight, putting other drivers at risk, behind the wheels of what appears to be a white SUV.
LA police temporarily took part in a pursuit of the downtown area as the suspected stolen vehicle was driving at a highway on the other side of the road.
On Glendale Boulevard, the suspect blew through the intersection and was attacked by another vehicle, disabling the white SUV.
The male suspect attempted to escape on foot and was quickly arrested by CHP.
