Authorities are searching for additional victims after two people were arrested on suspicion of kidnapping and robbing an elderly person between June and November in the South Los Angeles, Boyle Heights and MacArthur Park areas, Los Angeles police said Tuesday. announced.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the two suspects approached the victims in their car and had a conversation with them to gain their trust. Eventually, the suspects would force the victim into their vehicle, a gray Ford Focus, by threatening them with violence and weapons.
“The suspects then drove the victim to another location where they demanded money and jewelry and threatened to harm the victim if the victim did not comply,” LAPD said.
The Los Angeles Police Department released photos of the vehicle the suspects allegedly used to kidnap and rob victims. They believe there may be more victims.
According to police, the robberies occurred between June and November of this year.
Investigators who arrested the suspects believe there are more victims.
