The video was filmed the moment police captured a suspected child predator during a stabbing operation in Glendale.
Ryan Abdelrahim, 23, of Acadia, is said to have planned to meet the 14-year-old on February 19th outside the target store at Glendale Galleria Mall.
The meeting is Peoplev. It was coordinated by a private group called Preds. The group aims to capture suspicious child predators by communicating with them online before meeting minor victims.

“We create an account on a dating app and posses as a minor child,” Peoplev. A spokesman for Preds explained. “So people reach out to us, let them know that we are minors and the conversation continues, they get sexual and usually people come to see that child.”
The group said they were communicating with Abdel Rahim online while they pretended to be a 14-year-old boy.
“I knew he was talking to a minor, shortly after the conversation. He was very interested in wandering around with his 14-year-old child and doing sexual things. ” said the spokesman.
The group notified Glendale police after it was reportedly agreed to meet someone whom Abdelrahim believed was a 14-year-old boy.
Footage from the arrest shows the suspect standing outside the Target Store as a group of police officers suddenly surround him.
Once Abdelrahim realizes what’s going on, he runs away and sprints into a nearby parking garage as several policemen immediately chase him.
After chasing short legs, Abdelrahim stops running and surrenders to the police.
“They are not acting as our agents, so they’re not doing this at our request,” Glendale Police explained sleve during Steve Corrigan of People vs. Preds. “But if they set up these kinds of meetings and they feel that the person has committed a crime, they call us and we’re like other calls for an ongoing crime. I’ll respond to that.”
Abdelrahim is facing three felony charges and was released after filing a lawsuit in Glendale on Friday morning as the lawsuit is under investigation.
