The suspected child predator was arrested in a Riverside County investigation involving a 13-year-old girl.
The suspect was identified as 43-year-old Scott Marin of Moreno Valley, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.
Earlier this month, detectives at Perris station identified Marin as the suspect who allegedly inappropriately communicated with the young girl.
During the investigation, deputies said Marin asked the girl for more sexual intercourse, demanding “sexually satisfying photos.” He finally agreed to meet the girl in person.
On April 25, deputies found Marin leaving his Moreno Valley home, where he was taken into custody. During the arrest, deputies collected several communication devices as evidence.
He was arrested for arranging to meet minors with intent to commit sexual conduct, committing sexual activity, displaying and displaying material that is harmful to minors, and contacting minors with intent to attempt to induce them with children. He is being held on $55,000 bail.
Investigators did not give details about how the suspect initially relates to the victim.
Anyone with additional information about the case will be asked to call Deputy Hatert at Perris Sheriff’s Station at 951-210–1000.
