A 46-year-old man has been identified who was arrested in connection with a fatal shooting in North Hollywood over the weekend.
In a news release, officials from the Los Angeles Police Department identified Carlos Meza as the suspect in the fatal shooting in the 11,100 block of Magnolia Boulevard, lined with bars, restaurants, coffee shops and apartments.
Investigators said Meza and the victim, 32-year-old Luke Reynolds, are engaged in a verbal altercation, but the 46-year-old said he pulled out a gun and fired multiple shots, killing him. When there was, it was not immediately clear what it was about the victim.
Meza reportedly escaped from the scene in a vehicle.

Officers said that during Meza’s arrest, the officers deployed “use of the Force” but did not provide further details. .
