Taco Bell plans to open its first “Live Mass” cafe in San Diego County. The cafe will offer Taco Bell fans a “unique experience where they can enjoy specialty drinks like Chillers, Agua Frescas and specialty coffees alongside their favorite menu items,” officials said in a statement Friday.

The fast food chain worked with Diversified Restaurant Group, one of Taco Bell’s largest franchisees, to bring the cafe to life.

“This cafe will redefine the Taco Bell experience with an innovative drink lineup and Verista, delivering exceptional taste and hospitality in a welcoming and welcoming atmosphere while maintaining the great values our customers love.” stated in the news release.

Taco Bell adds photo booth experience to drive-thru locations nationwide for a limited time

To celebrate the grand opening of Live Más Café, visitors will receive free swag and a free first drink on Dec. 9 from 3:30 p.m.

The cafe is located at 1548 E. H Street in Chula Vista, about 23 miles from the city of San Diego. Live Más Café is open daily from 7am to 3am. Fans can follow the cafe on Instagram here.

Taco Bell isn’t the only fast food chain to open a drink-focused restaurant concept.

In 2023, McDonald’s opened CosMc’s. The restaurant concept seems aimed at attracting coffee lovers and beverage connoisseurs who would otherwise spend their money at Starbucks or Dunkin.

CosMc’s does not have a national presence, but has locations in Bolingbrook, Illinois and Texas.
