The 18-year-old Simi Valley man was arrested and charged after allegedly selling a firearm to a minor.
The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department arrested Michael Pass in the city of Thousand Oaks on May 23, saying in a news release Wednesday.
That day in January, “Thousand Oakspatrol lawmakers responded to unincorporated areas of Thousand Oaks to report suicide subjects,” the news release said.
The unidentified boy was declared to have a gunshot wound found with one wound and later died at Roslomes Medical Center.
“Through various investigative techniques, detectives have obtained evidence identifying Michael Pass as the suspect who sold a firearm to a boy,” the Sheriff’s Office said.
Following his arrest, the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office filed charges against the pass, including illegal relocation of firearms, child risk, sales, lending or relocation to minors.
