According to the private lawyer for the victim’s family, the 13-year-old Sun Valley boy, allegedly murdered by a football coach, died of acute alcoholism.

The discovery raised new questions about what happened a few hours before seventh grader Oscar Omar Hernandez, known as Omar, was found dead.

“It’s a huge number of puzzle pieces that come together,” said civic lawyer Michael Carrillo. [the Hernandezes’] My son is gone forever. ”

Youth soccer coach Mario Edgardo Garcia Aquino, 43, was charged with murder in early April under special circumstances and was subject to death.

Although attempts to arrive at the Ventura County Medical Examination Office on Sunday failed, Carrillo confirmed that Omar’s cause of death was said to be “acute alcoholism.”

“The tragedy and trauma from the release of information about this family continues. After he first went missing, he was found in a ditch and now he is discovering it is an alcoholic.”

Omar took a train in Antelope Valley in late March to visit Garcia Aquino, youth travel soccer coach at Hurricane Valley Boys Soccer Club in the Silmar area at Lancaster Home. When Omar did not return home, his family reported that he was missing. A murder detective at the Los Angeles Police Department is working in partnership with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and found his body in a ditch on the roadside in Oxnard in early April.

On April 7th, Garcia Aquino was charged with murder. This includes allegations of special circumstances of murder during the committee and the committee’s attempts to commit indecent conduct with children. Authorities refused to state how Omar was killed at the time.

Garcia Aquino pleaded not guilty when he appeared in a short court earlier this month. He returned to court in August, according to court records.

He is represented by the Los Angeles County Public Defence Counsel’s Office and did not immediately respond to a request for comment Sunday.

Subsequent reports revealed that Garcia Aquino was the subject of two previous investigations into alleged misconduct with a child.

A law enforcement source told The Times that he was not charged with sexual assault allegations in 2022 as the suspected victim refused to testify against him.

However, nearly a year before Garcia Aquino was charged with murdering Omar, he was charged with sexual abuse in another teenager. However, he was not charged in the case for 10 months and no arrest warrant was sought for Garcia Aquino until three days before Omar was murdered.

The delay in filing requests have been criticised in the backlog of nearly 10,000 cases due to the court staffing crisis and the decision of the former Los Angeles County King. Atty. According to current Dist, George Gascon electronically centralizes criminal applications. Atty. Nathan Hochman and Deputy Dist. Atty. Ryan Errich, president of the union representing the prosecutors of Rank and Files.
