Authorities were looking for teenagers and young adults who beat a 16-year-old boy at Apple Valley Park last month, and later used a stolen debit card at a local liquor store.
The 16-year-old was walking through Civic Center Park, 14999 Dale Evans Parkway, just minutes before 9pm on May 31, when the woman and nine men between the ages of 16 and 25 were approaching.
“A woman in the group tore the victim’s necklace around her neck and a man punched the victim to the right side of her head,” the release explained. “The victim fell to the ground and was repeatedly punched and kicked by the subject. The woman who first broke the victim’s necklace took his wallet, including his debit card.”
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a group of teens and young adults who allegedly stolen their teens on May 31, 2025 and used debit cards.
The debit card was used at a nearby liquor store about 45 minutes later, and security footage showed one of the girls making the purchase, accompanied by some of the boys.
It is unknown whether the young people purchased alcohol. The KTLA reached out to clarify to the Sheriff’s Office, but did not respond before publication. This story will be updated when we receive that information.
SBSD has released images of people involved in the hopes that it will help members of the public identify them.
Anyone with information will be asked to call Detective Kevin Liberic at 760-240-7400 or Sheriff’s dispatch at 760-956-5001.
