R-Tenn. Rep. Andy Ogres, of the group, has requested an investigation from Belmont University after leaking recordings of university faculty members acknowledging that the school maintains its diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, but “it just changes.”[d] About how we talk about it” and “despite the federal directive to end programs that many consider to be discriminatory.”
In a secret investigation, the same officials can hear that schools register illegal immigrants and admit that they are hiding that information from outside entities.
“Belmont University claims to be a Christian institution based on biblical principles, but its administration injects anti-gospel ideology into its curriculum,” Ogles told Fox News Digital.
“President Trump correctly demanded that universities and universities dismantle the Day cartel or lose federal funds. But Belmont officials were caught up in cameras boasting about the “smart” scheme that kept Day rebranding and pushing the same radical agenda under a new name.”

Belmont is just one of the latest schools to be argued to skirt the impact of federal fundraising by reassessing its DEI program and policies. An investigation by conservative custody groups in April revealed that despite the president’s enforcement directive, there are still 383 “now active” DEI offices and programs where 243 universities maintain institution-wide DEI offices or programming, in the advocacy of education.
In addition to tracking still active DEI offices and programs, the group highlighted dozens of universities that took steps to rebrand or reorganize DEI efforts rather than shutting down as others did.
Ogles pointed to Belmont’s hopes, unity and belongings (hubs) that involved the university’s DEI efforts in 2022.
“The hub is hope, unity and belonging. It’s Day. It’s authentic,” says Joseph Rookie, assistant director of success and prosperity for Belmont students, in a secret recording cited by Ogles. “We are always trying to adapt to just what is happening around us, but that doesn’t mean we are focusing on stopping completely.

After Ogles’ public complaints, his office said teachers and students reached out to prove the school’s ongoing DEI initiative. One professor is said to have shared a mandatory form for faculty members requesting revisions or suggestions for new courses that require a “diversity impact statement” that outlines how the course can support “historically underrepresented populations.”
Another source shares screenshots from the email chain showing Belmont maintaining the faculty DEI committee for the next academic year, according to the Ogles office.
Belmont argues an attempt to portray the school as completely inaccurate “shadow manipulation.”
“These videos are deeply saddened that Belmont portrays him as having “shadow manipulation.” This cannot be far from the truth. It’s also unfortunate that Ogles and others recognize such an approach as representing the character and values of Belmont University,” the university told local outlet Fox 17.

In a statement to Fox News Digital, the school argued that it was “compliant with federal law.”
“We are aware of comments from government officials and claim that the university is in compliance with federal law,” a university spokesperson told Fox News Digital. “We look forward to working with the Tennessee delegation to address legal compliance concerns.”

In an email allegedly sent to the Belmont University community, the university’s president, L. Gregory Jones, claimed that the school doubled its federal law compliance and that the hub was “established to encourage the campus community to live fully in the light of Christ’s resurrection.” Schools are facing.

The school did not respond to allegations that the school recognized and held illegal immigrants for commercial purposes.

According to Ogles, such a move could violate Tennessee Senate Bill 392, which recently passed and criminalizes colloquially known 501(c)(3) agencies because they have harbor illegal aliens for their benefit.
