Kanye West’s account has gone dark after days of fired hateful posts on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
“Yes,” Kanye West wrote a farewell post Sunday night after the Super Bowl ad aired, promoting shoe brand Yeezy.
“I’m logged out of Twitter,” the artist wrote.
X’s owner Elon Musk did not publicly respond to West’s notes or the loss of his account as of Sunday night.
On Saturday, friend star David Schwimmer opposed West’s X-Rampage and called Mask a conspiracy.
“You can’t stop crazy prejudice from spitting out your hatred-filled, ignorant bile… but you can stop giving him a megaphone,” Schwimmer said in an Instagram post. “Kanye West has 32.7 million followers on Platform X, twice as many people as the number of Jews exist.”
According to Billboard, West was initially banned from X in October 2022 due to an anti-Semitism post, recovering briefly in November and resuspended later that month.
According to Billboard, Mask recovered West’s account eight months later.
In the past week alone, some of the most controversial posts in the West to X have included anti-Semitic claims such as “I’m a Nazi” and “I love Hitler.”
Schwimmer’s post also mentioned West’s posts, such as “I’m a racist” and “I’ll never apologize for my Jewish comments.”
“Silence is an accomplice,” Schwimmer’s post concluded.
