The 24-year-old San Bernardino County woman is in custody and has been charged with attempted murder in a road rage incident after investigators tracked the vehicle using an automated license plate reader (ALPR), California Highway Patrol officials have announced.
Road violence unfolded around 8:15am in the westbound lane of the 10th Expressway, east of Riverside Avenue in the San Bernardino area, around 8:15am, according to a CHP news release.
The grey Nissan Rogue driver, identified as Angeline Marie Gable, a now-Loma Linda resident, reportedly became angry at the lane change.
Authorities said Gable pulled out a handgun and fired several rounds at the Honda, which he hit multiple times.
The semi-automatic firearm, which is said to be located in the vehicle of a 24-year-old suspect on March 16, 2025, was a bullet hole (CHP) (CHP) seen in the 2024 Honda Civic after the Inland Empire road shooting on March 16, 2025.
A witness to the Road Rage shooting who was quickly called 911 and reported the incident.
Responding CHP officials spotted the victim’s vehicle, contacted the male driver, noting the bullet hole in his car.

“The Criminal Investigation Bureau’s Emergency Notification and Tactical Alert Center in Sacramento has provided real-time investigative assistance and found that herd safety cameras have taken images of suspicious vehicles,” the release said.
The Flock Safety Cameras, an ALPR system, is widely used by law enforcement agencies throughout California and across the country, and contains a database of information that includes vehicle colors, make, models, and even identifiers such as decals and stickers.
Using information from the Flock system, Fontana Police Station officials discovered the 24-year-old suspect’s vehicle just after 5pm that day and implemented an enforcement halt.
Gable and another adult woman were detained until CHP officials responded and both women were taken into custody for questioning, but Nissan Rogue was locked up for evidence. During the vehicle inventory, detectives found a loaded firearm that matches the description provided by the witness, officials said.
“Any intentional violence like these is not tolerated,” said CHP captain Lance Berns.
Gable was booked at San Bernardino County Detention Center on multiple felony charges, including attempted murder and ejection of firearms in occupied vehicles.
No additional information has been provided about the 24-year-old unidentified female passenger and whether she attended the Road Rage case or whether she was accused of the matter.
