Investigators describing the attack as a hate crime, authorities are looking for a man who allegedly hurt the door to the Agra Hills home where they display the Palestinian flag.
The incident took place on September 28, 2024, at about 2pm on the block of passing in the 30,400 block of the aisle, but the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office posted a social media post Tuesday asking for public help in identifying the suspect video-recorded on doorbell cameras.
LASD deputy Dustin Kerr said an investigation has been underway since the incident occurred and that he relied on public assistance this week after investigators were unable to identify the suspect.
Detectives said the suspect approached the house, began to aggressively knock on the door, kicked it, and spewed racist remarks and verbal threats in connection with the Palestinian flag displayed in the windows upstairs.
The suspect in the photo issued a statement that was threatening and racially charged in his Agra Hills home, aggressively slamming the victim’s front door, causing damage to the door.

LASD said on X-Post Tuesday that it owed damages to the resident’s door. Carr said the door lasted multiple scratches and foot marks. Investigators do not believe the suspects live in the area. The department confirmed that the residents in the house were not Palestinian nationals.
The American Council on Islamic Relations, a Muslim advocacy group known as Cair-LA, praised LASD for investigating the incident as a hate crime.
“We should not face harassment or threats just to display a flag representing our own identity or a call to justice. This astonishing act is part of a broader rise in anti-Palestinian hatred and Islamophobia.” “We must remain vigilant against all forms of hatred, allowing our community to safely express our identity and stand up to justice and human rights.”
The incident comes months after a fierce clash between pro-Israel and pro-Palestinian students camping on UCLA’s campus in May 2024.
The suspect, who remained unidentified, was wearing a white shirt with glasses and black pants. He is thought to be about 30 years old.
Anyone with information about the suspect will be asked to contact Det. Aquino at Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station (818) 878-1808.
