An authorities confirmed that a child was killed after the incident in Los Angeles’ Harbor City area on Saturday morning.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department received a call at 9:44 a.m. reporting a child who may have been drowned in the 1100 block of Fernrest Drive.
Firefighters transported the child to the Port Facility Medical Center, where authorities said they arrived at 10:03am, and the child died in the hospital’s emergency room.
Details are limited and authorities did not immediately say where the owner’s death occurred, but Google Maps view of the residence at the address obtained by KTLA shows a pool and hot tub in the backyard.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Carson Station has not released any details about the child’s name, age or gender, but has confirmed the child’s death.
Authorities said the circumstances surrounding the incident are still under investigation.
