Jackson Chowlio chose a winning run in 10 innings as the Milwaukee Brewers gathered to complete the Dodgers’ first home sweep in franchise history by beating Los Angeles 3-2 on Wednesday.
The Dodgers’ previous two sweeps came to Los Angeles in May 2012 and August 2017. The NL West Leading Dodgers have won six consecutive games.
Milwaukee’s Trevor Megill (2-2) attacked Freddie Freeman, Andy Page and Tommy Edman at the top of the 10th.
William Contreras led from deep center from the fly that advanced third from Kirby Yates (4-3) to deep center. Chourio then singled the left side of the infield pulled out for his first career walk-off hit.
The Brewers tied the game for the ninth time when they brought Isaac Collins home a one-out single from pinch hitter Andrew Vaughan’s Tanner Scott and put the runner in the corner. Scott launched Andrew Monasterio and retired Freric at the grounder to retire second, forcing the innings.
Dodgers starter Tyler Glasnow hit five innings, allowing one unfortunate run in his first appearance since April 27th, three walks and two hits in five innings. He was on the list injured by shoulder inflammation.
Milwaukee’s Jose Quintana hit four innings, allowing four, two hits and one run in six innings. He didn’t allow Estery Lewis’s fifth two-out single.
Important moments
The Dodgers had the opportunity to beat one tie in the seventh and extend the lead later in the innings, but Nick Mears loaded the base and retired Freeman first.

The Dodgers lost six straights for the first time since April 2019. There were 11 runs in total during the skid.
