Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Blake Snell’s Seattle-area home broke just before opening day, making it the latest in break-in trends at famous athlete homes in recent months.
Police began investigating the incident on March 26, as first reported by King5 in Seattle.
No one was in the house at the time of the incident. Police told King5 it is not yet clear if anything was stolen.
Police discovered a broken window on Woodway, Washington.
“We can see that our home has recently been broken,” Snell said in a statement obtained by King5. “Thankfully, no one has done any harm. We work closely with local governments and are extremely grateful for their prompt response and continued support. We have security footage that is actively supporting the investigation and we are confident that the person in charge will be caught and removed from the community.

The incident happened a few days before a fellow athlete. Sherman said the suspect pointed out that he hugged his wife and children at the muzzle as they robbed the house.
The Washington home is about an hour south of Snell’s home. It is not clear whether the incident is related.
“Of course, there’s always a chance they’re connected. There’s not enough information to say they’re connected,” a police spokesperson told King5.
Late last year, the FBI officially warned professional sports leagues such as the NFL and MLB after similar cases occurred at the homes of Patrick Mahomes and Joe Burrow.
