The minivan driver crashed into a crowd in downtown Los Angeles Sunday afternoon, causing nine people, including three children, injured, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
The incident occurred around 3:15pm at Santee Alley, a popular outdoor market in the fashion district. According to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Seven of those injured in a crash crash in the 300 block of East 12th Avenue, including three children, were hospitalized in fair condition, emergency officials said. According to a statement from the fire department, the two were released “against medical advice.”
The injured included pedestrians. It was unclear whether the driver was injured or if there were any passengers injured in the van.
The crash site was located in the 300 block of East 12th Avenue in downtown Los Angeles.

Transportation Bureau workers were on the scene to drive out and redirect traffic.
It is unknown what caused the minivan to crash.
Videos and images of the scene posted Sunday showed that a silver minivan appears to have plunged into several concrete barriers on the sidewalk. The yellow and red awnings also appeared to have been partially collapsed by a van surrounded by yellow police tape.
