The first significant rain of the season is expected to arrive in Southern California this weekend.
Monday will remain cool, but temperatures are expected to rise again on Tuesday and Wednesday.
“So we’re going to warm up a little bit this week. Tomorrow we’re going to see a jump in pressure and offshore flow,” said KTLA meteorologist Henry DiCarlos.
Santa Ana winds and plenty of sunshine are also expected through Wednesday, but Thursday will be a transition day.

“Clouds are starting to trickle in and we have a really nice storm and cold front that will be here by Saturday morning,” Henry said.
The National Weather Service said in its forecast Monday that the chance of rain will spread from the northwest to the southeast.
“Attention will then turn to the period from Friday to Sunday, when the first significant rain of the season is likely to fall,” the Bureau of Meteorology said. Forecasters also said that because of inconsistent weather models, “we need to take a wait-and-see approach to get accurate forecasts.”
At his location, about three-quarters of an inch of rain is expected north of Point Conception, and between a quarter and five inches further south.
The Bureau of Meteorology said: “There will be no snow in the local mountains as the weather will be very warm.”
Rain chances are expected to continue into early next week.
