New York City candidate Zohran Mamdani’s father, a longtime academic and Ivy League professor, spoke about one of his many books that Adolf Hitler drew Holocaust inspiration from Abraham Lincoln during a panel discussion in 2022.
According to a New York Times profile on the mayoral candidate and his parents, young Mamdani, a self-proclaimed socialist, believes he provided “privileged upbringing” to his parents. Mamdani’s mother is an Oscar-nominated filmmaker.
During a 2022 panel discussion hosted by the Asian Association, Mahmoud, Mamdani’s father, argued that America is the “Genesis of what we call settler colonialism” around the world.

“The Civil War led Abraham Lincoln to generalize the solution to reservations, and they flocked American Indians to separate territories,” said Mamdani, a professor of government in Columbia, Herbert Lehman. “For the Nazis, this was inspiration. Hitler has done two things. One is that genocide is feasible. It is possible to do genocide. That is what Hitler realized. What Hitler realized is that you don’t need to have a common citizenship.”

Elder Mamdani also argued in his speech that the racist and anti-Semitic Nuremberg laws of Nazi Germany “imaged American law.”
Other comments included the claim that there was no difference between “nationalism and colonialism” and that the Allied forces during World War II shared the same goals as the Nazis.
“Nazi political projects were shared by allies, and that political project was to turn Germany into a “pure” country. “When allies defeated the Nazis and entered Eastern Europe, they began to create a ‘pure’ nation. They return them to Germany to ethnically cleanse Eastern Europe. One crime does not wipe out another. ”

Following political upset in New York City’s democratic mayoral primary, critics began unearthing videos of young mumdani, who support a similarly radical view.
One of these moments came from comments made by the NYC mayoral candidate at the 2021 American Conference of Young Democrat Socialists. Meanwhile, he told attendees not to compromise on goals such as “grabing the means of production.”

The second included a video from the Gravel Institute. Meanwhile, Mamdani is debating the need to change housing from private products to public positions. In the video, he called for the replacement of the gorgeous condos with a co-style lifestyle, including those that include shared laundry facilities and food cooperatives.
“If we want to end the housing crisis, the solution needs to move towards a complete violation of the housing,” urged Mamdani in a video from the Gravel Institute.

Meanwhile, other remarks by Mamdani’s father raised concerns about how the development of a Democratic mayoral candidate will affect his style of governance.
In an interview with his book Good Muslims, Bad Muslims: The Roots of America, Cold War, Fear, Older Mamdani argues that the term “suicide bomber” is “a false fame because it is not different from a soldier.”[s] The purpose is to kill. ”

Professor Mamdani also reportedly claimed that Israel was a “logical conclusion of Nazism,” according to excerpts from a study documenting the academic debate shared by the Washington Free Beacon.
