With Southern California writing another Heat Wave round, one of Los Angeles’ most beloved summer traditions is back just in time. Smolgasburg LA’s ice cream alley is back and offers Angelenos a much-needed sweet escape every Sunday until the end of August.
The annual event will be held every week from 10am to 4pm on the line DTLA, which runs from Sunday, July 6th to August 31st. Admission is free and visitors can use free 2 hours of parking.
This seasonal favourite transforms part of Smolgasburg’s outdoor market into a dedicated zone for frozen desserts with pop-ups, small batches of artisanal spinning lineups, and favorite spinning lineups of dishes from all over Los Angeles.
Among the most popular vendors are
626 Hospitality Group is a chef-led soft serve concept rooted in San Gabriel Valley, and is celebrating its fifth year with playful works such as ice cream drinks, sparklers and afigatos.

Also, the ice cream alley is the main draw, but the full slate of Smorgusburg food, drinks and retailers will continue to run as usual.
According to an Instagram post from the organizers, “Ice cream alley – Sunday Foundation every Sunday!” temperatures skyrocket, so we’re back to “keeping you extra cool.”
Modeled after the original Brooklyn Food Market, Smolgasburg LA has been a Sunday staple for many in Los Angeles since its launch in 2016.
For locals and tourists, ice cream alleys promise creativity, community and the opportunity to beat the heat with plenty of sprinkles.
