On Tuesday night, a federal judge rejected the California governor’s request for an immediate, temporary restraining order to limit the deployment of President Donald Trump to quell the ongoing anti-immigration and customs enforcement (ICE) riots in Los Angeles.
US District Judge Charles Breyer, appointing former President Bill Clinton, refused to intervene by 1pm on Tuesday, and instead set up a hearing to consider California’s claim seeking a temporary restraining order on Thursday.
A judge, brother to retired liberal U.S. Supreme Court Judge Stephen Breyer, said the federal government can file discussions by 11am Wednesday. He handed it to California until 9am on Thursday to file a response to court.
Former Watergate prosecutor Breyer is head-side on a lawsuit filed by Newsom and California Attorney General Rob Bonta, challenging Trump’s 4,000-man National Guard troops and deploying 700 Marines to Los Angeles.

Newsom exchanged a verbal public war with Trump administration officials, accusing them of “illegally” and “instructing” 2,000 state guard members of “illegally” and “instructing” them, without consulting with California law enforcement leaders. Meanwhile, the Trump administration said its ice operation “sought to hire criminal illegal immigrant killers, rapists, gang rapes, drug dealers, human traffickers and domestic abusers on the streets.

The demonstrations against the ice attack in Los Angeles escalate to violent riots and looting, with the building being tagged with anti-American messages.
“Instead of focusing on undocumented immigrants with serious criminal records and those with final deportation orders, the administration, a long-standing strategy supported by both parties, pushes forward mass deportation and indiscriminately targets hard-working immigrant families regardless of their roots or risk.”

The governor said he is seeking an emergency court order for the use of “US military engaged in law enforcement activities across Los Angeles.”
Newsom says the Los Angeles riots will be charged, and Trump will slap our community to “get traumatized.”
“If we can be taken from the streets without a warrant based solely on suspicion or skin color,” Newsmom said.
Newsom claimed that Trump’s intervention had escalated the Los Angeles riots, but Vice President JD Vance was pushed back on Tuesday.
The Democratic governor argued that California “had no issues until Trump was involved,” but Vance “allowed Los Angeles to be transformed into a war zone.”
