Some highly anticipated sports head to the Los Angeles 2028 Summer Olympics and know where to play.
Both flag football and lacrosse will take place at BMO Stadium when the Olympics come to town in the summer of 2028, as approved by the LA City Council and announced by LA28 on Friday.
The venue will be called the official exposition park stadium during the match due to Olympic policy regarding stadium sponsorship.

The BMO Stadium opened in 2018 and is being built at the former LA Memorial Sports Arena site, next to the LA Memorial Coliseum. According to the rendering released by LA28, a temporary stand will be built and placed in the center of the field, making the playing surface smaller for flag football and lacrosse.
2028 marks the Olympic debut of Flag Football, the contactless version of the most popular sport in the United States, hosting the return of lacrosse as a medal sport in London in 1908.
The announcement comes after Pasadena reached an agreement to hold semi-finals and gold medal matches in men’s and women’s soccer in the game. LA28 said on Friday that the preliminary football matches will be held at venues outside of LA city, and will be announced later.
BMO Stadium will be participating in several other venues in LA to host events at the 2028 Summer Olympics. For additional information about the venue, please see here.
