According to ESPN, Los Angeles Rams star receiver Puka Nacua is changing his numbers.
Nacua will make changes to accommodate his new teammate, the six-time NFL Pro Bowl Wide Receiver Davante Adams.
Adams signed a two-year contract with the Rams after the release from his previous team, the New York Jets, clearing the path for potential Hall of Famer to join LA’s Naqua and quarterback Matthew Stafford.

Since drafted by the Green Bay Packers in 2014, Adams has only worn 17 in the NFL. He wore a 15 when he attended Fresno State.
Nakua returned to the university for a new number, shifting from 17 to 12, wearing it as a member of the BYU Cougar.
Don’t expect cheap Dodgers tickets this season
In most American sports, it is not uncommon for more established players to trade numbers when they join a team.
Adams is one of the great wide receivers of his generation and could have been enshrined in the canton when he hung the cleats. However, Nacua has already built his own impressive resume, becoming a target for Stafford and shattering his long-standing NFL reception record as a rookie.

Nacua was a Pro Bowler and second-team All-Pro in 2023, moving on to a pace that saw an impressive sophomore season before injuries steal six games from his regular-season campaign. He was able to average out the receptions third and third of all players during his 11 appearances.
Even if Adams is in town, his role could continue to grow in Sean McVay’s attack, thanks to the expected departure of the franchise’s legendary Cooper Cup.
For fans who have purchased the current Pukanakua No. 17 jersey, there are not many options to replace it before the 2025-26 season.
Fanatics and NFLShop.com offer a “Jersey Warranty” policy that allows those who have purchased a jersey within the last 90 days to receive an updated version if they recently switch teams.
However, this policy does not cover players who continue to play on the same team and simply change the numbers on their backs.
Instead, Nacua fans should wear their No. 17 with the pride they’ve been rooting for him from the start and the extra bragging rights they’ve been cheering for him before a man named Adams joins the team.
