US Customs and Border Protection reported the fewest border crossings in history recorded in June.

There have been 25,228 CBP encounters across the country. This is the lowest monthly number recorded by the agency, including an “historic low” of 8,024 anxiety. The encounter includes legal ports of entry, but arrests of people illegally entering the United States are arrested.

The southern border alone was only 6,072 fears in June. This is “15% lower than the previous March record.” June also brought the lowest numbers on the 28th of June with just 136.

The “Trump Effect” remains low in the south border count and is being promoted, including new records

On May 8, 2025, at the request of New Mexico President Donald Trump, US soldiers are taking action at the Mexican border after the Department of Defense signed a new order declaring 110,000 acres of land on the Mexican border as a defense zone.

“From closing illegal intersections to grab fentanyl and enforcing billions of tariffs, CBP has resulted in every aspect. Under this administration, we are protecting the country with a merciless focus, and the numbers prove that,” CBP Commissioner Rodney Scott said in a press release Wednesday.

As in May, there were no parole releases compared to 27,766 in 2024.

Regarding drug attacks, the department said the fentanyl attacks had an increase of 3% last month, with 742 pounds confiscated. In particular, METH attacks from May increased by 102%, heroin attacks increased by 19%, and cocaine attacks increased by 9%.

According to a press release, CBP also raised $1000.9 billion in “all tariffs, taxes and fees,” focusing on tariffs imposed by the president.

Yuma Mayor Douglas Nichols told Fox News Digital that the change is “peace” after crossings are rising after putting a heavy strain on local resources like regional hospitals.

Earlier on Wednesday, DHS Executive Director Kristi Noem announced that assaults against ICE agents had risen by 830% since last year. This is because both border and immigration policies have seen significant changes in recent months since the border crisis under the Biden administration.

“This new data reflects violence against our law enforcement in cities across the country in the last few weeks. Politicians across the country must condemn this regardless of political stripes,” Noem posted on X.

As for the border patrol, a gunman died and a local police officer was injured in a shooting in McAllen, Texas. ICE recently faced a riot at the Prarieland Detention Center in Alvarado, Texas. There, 12 individuals face charges, including attempted murder of a federal officer.

The border is considered to be much quieter, but protests and riots against federal immigration authorities continue amid a massive deportation effort. Congressional Democrats have recently introduced visible behaviors that most often prevent agents from covering their faces and require visible identification.

“When a federal immigrant agent appears and pulls someone out of the street with a plain cross without a visible identification, it escalates tensions and spreads fear, while protecting federal agents from basic accountability,” Sen. D-Calif said in a statement on July 8th.

Bill Melugin from Fox News Channel contributed to this report.
